1st Drumgooland + Kilkinamurry Boys’ Brigade meet every Monday evening from Sept to April, in Drumgooland Presbyterian Church Hall. We have three sections, Anchor Boys, Junior Section and Company Section.

  • Anchor Boys (P1 – P4) meet on Monday 6.45pm to 7:45pm.
  • Junior Section (P5 – P7) meet on Monday 7:45pm to 9:30pm.
  • Company Section (Y8 - Y14) meet on Monday 7:45pm to 9:30pm.

The Boys’ Brigade object: "The advancement of Christ's kingdom among Boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness."

Our Motto is: - “Sure and Steadfast” and is taken from Hebrews 6:19

We are a Christian youth organisation working with boys and young men between the ages of 4–18. Our programmes are balanced to provide every child and young person opportunities to take part in a wide range of activities, learn new skills and develop existing skills.

Anchor Boys

We enjoy a weekly programme of fun, doing different activities which include crafts, music, games, sports, bible stories and making friends. We are pleased to be able to accommodate boys with a wide variety of abilities and interests, with the emphasis very much aimed at ‘lively’ fun!

Junior Section

We enjoy a weekly programme crammed full of challenges, bible stories, team games and achievements (badge work) and making friends. We have activities catering for just about every possible interest and we try to encourage the boys to explore new ones. They also have the opportunity to do “out of hall” activities, which include participation in sports competitions with other BB companies at Battalion level.

Company Section

We enjoy a weekly programme of learning new life skills, decision making and having fun. We provide a secure environment to explore new possibilities, achieve personal goals while making friends and have adventures whilst learning more about God. The boys also have the opportunity to do “out of hall” activities, which include participation in sports competitions with other BB companies at Battalion level. We also operate the “Queen’s Badge” scheme which is equivalent to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme – Silver level.
